Designing and building design systems and digital products for enterprises and startups since 2017.
Email meWhere I've worked:
Gradle Enterprise is a developer productivity tool used by some of the largest development teams in the world. Predictive Test Selection uses a machine learning model to identify the subset of tests most relevant to a code change, eliminating the time spent waiting for irrelevant tests to execute.
On a highly technical product, design is always a collaborative process. This feature started with a text document (a Google Doc, in this case) to asynchronously scope out work, gather feedback from stakeholders and gauge technical feasibility.
I've worked on design systems for very different brands. Springer Nature publishes the worlds foremost academic and scientific journals. The design system reflects the authoritative reputation of the brand, and is utilised primarily for long-form editorial content. giffgaff is fun and playful brand where the design system spans marketing, e-commerce and a native smartphone application. Gradle is a complex developer-focused data-intensive web application dashboard.
Design systems I've created have spanned different technological domains: web, native, email and non-digital marketing collateral, ensuring visual consistency across the board. At giffgaff I created and maintained a design system in both Figma and code, ensuring the two stayed in sync: additions and tweaks were made across design tools and CSS simultaneously. I pushed for the transition from Sketch to Figma, and the creation of an easy-to-use set of Figma components and styles eased adoption across the design team.
At Springer Nature I built a design system that catered to multiple different brands: SpringerLink and Nature.com.
